Maybe you have received a spoofed email but never realized it was one. A spoofed email is one that appears to originate from one source but iis actually from another source. Falsifying the name or email address of the originator of the email is called email spoofing.
Usually to send a mail you need only the email address of the receiver. You will have a subject and a message. And if needed you can add other email addresses as carbon copy and blind carbon copy.
If you go to certain email services like www.sendfakemail.com, they have a facility where a person can also enter the email address of a purported sender of the email. For example you can send emails purporting to be sent from your friend's account. All you have to do is to enter your friend's address in the space provided for sender's email address. Naturally people would trust such emails, as they would presume that they have come from your friend. They facility is widely misused to send viruses and other harmful downloads. Sounds interesting?
